This course combines theoretical insights into third molar extraction management with hands-on experience on live patients. Participants will learn preoperative assessment and surgical techniques for the removal of varying complexity third molars, aiming to boost dentists’ confidence in this practice.
The course also provides an opportunity for participants to practice safe and efficient extraction techniques.

LECTURE & HANDS-ON:

- 1-day lecture provides extensive knowledge of preoperative assessment of third molars of varying complexity and the surgical techniques.

Work in pairs

- Perform min 12 cases on your own, and also assist and observe up to 12 cases surgeries.

State-of-the-Art Dental Hospital

- Take part in the program within a state-of-the-art dental hospital, ensuring a modern and specialised learning facility.

Day 1

Lecture for anatomy, flap design, correct instrument handling, and extraction mechanics.
Preview OPGs of live patients and conduct a surgical treatment planning session with the course instructor.

Day 2 & Day 3

Participants will extract wisdom teeth under close supervision from an experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon, practicing correct surgical techniques in a clinical setting.
The course aims to equip dentists with skills for performing wisdom tooth extractions of varying complexity, with dedicated time allocated to the removal of select cases.
